Belt & Road Lunch Talk Series was successfully organized by Silk Road Economic Development Research Center at The Foreign Correspondents’ Club, Hong Kong on 7 March, 2018. From ancient silk road to recent globalization, trading between countries becomes more frequent.  Dr Thomas Chan, Honorary Professor of Chu Hai College of Higher Education, was invited to share about the reshaping of Eurasian trade flows and logistics system.  The Q&A session allowed attendees to deepen their understanding of Dr Chan's sharing and Chamber's Chairman Richard Tao attended to exchange views. To increase the interaction between chambers of ASEAN countries and mingle with members of other ASEAN chambers in Hong Kong, HKMMCCI co-hosted an ASEAN Chambers Chinese New Year Gathering, which was held on 6 March at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong, Admiralty. The event was attended by over 200 guests, including 18 ASEAN Diplomats and officials in Hong Kong from different ASEAN countries.  Participants enjoyed the happy hours and Lo Hei followed by a dinner buffet.  One of the highlights is the Lo Hei session for good fortune. We also take this opportunity to sponsor 6 Myanmar students to participate, which offered an excellent way for students to have a taste of the real business situations, make industry contacts and develop professional relationships before graduation.  All participants embraced the power of new beginnings together!  The higher the toss, the better your prospects and fortune in the year ahead!
